Christina Wooten:

Hey, there, kindred spirits. Welcome to Modern life and spear podcast is Christina Wooten certified psychic medium at Sedona medium.com Welcome to the show. And today's episode, I want to start by asking you a little question. Have you ever walked into a space and felt this elevation in your energy felt this strong sense of connection, inspiration, a little charge in the air, we thought, Oh, this feels so nice. This sense of connection, maybe it's a sense of belonging there as well, that just pulls you and makes you want to be there stay there, relax and connect, or maybe the exact opposite. If you've ever walked into a space and just had this overwhelming sense to get out a strong sense to just turn right around and head the other direction, it's time to leave. What if I told you that choosing the right office space could not only influence your mood, your health, your well being, but potentially the success of your entire practice, that's what we're talking about today is how to choose the right office space for yourself. Whether you are opening up a spiritual practice moving to a new location, whether you are interviewing places that might have a contracting position available for you, whether you are just shopping around for somewhere that maybe connects with your heart, I'm going to be sharing things from my experience, and also things that I consider that are really important when choosing a sacred office space. But the first thing before we get started into all the energetic considerations that I pay attention to as a psychic medium, and I would encourage you as well to pay attention to is to first discuss why is this important? You know, if we create our own reality, if we have a strong vision and energy that we are putting forward? Can't we just walk into any environment and shift that energy and create what it is that we want in a space? Isn't that possible? So does it really matter what kind of environment you're in to begin with? When you are a profound creator? I love this question because it really gets to the heart of something that's important. I want to share with you what I've learned in my over 15 years of experience in renting many different types of office spaces with different arrangements as well as places that were sacred, for retreats from experiences that I've had that were hard and experiences that I've had that elevated the practice created this incredible container for the work, one of the things that I have learned is yes, absolutely have the power to shift, impact influence profoundly any space that I'm in. But also I have learned over the years the value of finding harmony, finding that perfect match, finding the energy where I can flow and express in a big creative way. Rather than feeling like I'm having to spend part of my energy fighting something constantly redirecting an energy that wants to be there that wants to be present, because this is about learning that we are in co creation with all things that we in and of ourselves. Our version of ourself is much bigger than just the human spirit and the human body that there is the earth that we are in deep connection with that also wants to express itself. And there are ways in which it does so and that that impacts and affects any office space or retreat center or yoga studio that you might ever encounter. What I have learned as I don't want my energy to be drained in fighting something, I want the energy that I feel resonant and connected with to be present and to be amplified within the space. And that is what I have learned predominantly is not to just run in there like a bull in a china shop and try and shift and change and muscle my way into an energy. Because it's always going to be somewhat diluted, because the reality of it is, is that the earth is creating itself with you. And it has a power and a special energy as well. I prefer to flow to feel in connection and in harmony with all things that are present. And so that makes the earth energy incredibly important when I'm considering an office space. And today, what I'm going to be sharing with you our tips on what I pay attention to as a psychic medium, in order to find that flow, find that connection and find that resonance so that my energy as a practitioner, and what I'm creating is exalted in that space rather than drained. So even the moment that somebody walks in, that that healing begins, that sense of spiritual connection, what I am creating as a sacred space, it begins to impact them immediately, from the moment that they stepped foot into the space. So these are things that I pay attention to when I am looking at spaces. And, you know, we're not talking about things like just divine timing, even though that's incredibly important. There have been times where I had been led to an office space where Spirit said to me go now to this building, there's a space available for you, I didn't realize I was looking for a space. But apparently spirit said, I've got the perfect thing. It's been cooking back here for a while, and now is the day to reveal it to you. So I walked to that area and immediately found this beautiful space that was a sanctuary for me for several years. And it was exactly what I would have looked for and also never even dreamed would have been available. And something that I would be able to share in it was a perfect space for me at that time. So divine timing certainly plays a role in all things. And we have to respect that process that availability and also hold into the vision of this is what I'm creating. And this is what is important to me that I know that I need in a space. And it can be tempting when you're looking at commercial space, and you feel like maybe there's not as many options to compromise on that vision or to say, you know, well, maybe I don't need this so bad, but you should always know internally, for your spirit. What are your non negotiables? What are the things that you know, your body and your energy needs to create the perfect space and the perfect environment that's going to exalt Your energy, know the difference between what's non negotiable for you, and what's not mission critical for your ultimate vision. The other thing I would also say before we really get into the heart of things is remember that things can unfold in your practice. So if you're new, and you haven't had the experience of renting spaces before, keep in mind that you can start like a buddy, you can start small and then grow and grow and grow, it's helpful sometimes to start with something a little bit smaller, so that you have some experience to work with, before you make a huge commitment. And not only a financial commitment, but an energetic commitment, where you're holding a space in that energy for a long time, and you're manifesting and focusing with that space, it can be very helpful to start and remember that maybe there's a vision for you, that stays one, phase two, phase three, and spaces in between energy experiences in between that will help you get from phase one, phase two, and finally to phase three. So all of that being said, let's talk about the things that I look for that I would encourage you to just consider to pay attention to from an energetic perspective when you are seeking a sacred space like this, especially in the commercial field or commercial environment. So think about this when you are looking at a space that you might be renting and contracting with somebody else, even if it's just you're temporarily there, but also for space that you might be taking ownership of. So the first thing that I pay it Tension two is the numerology of the space. Because the numerology is a lot of times going to eliminate many spaces for me right off the bat. So I don't need to go see certain spaces or try and fit a round peg into a square hole. I don't have to do any of that if it doesn't match. Numerology to me I found does have a great significance and an impact and influence in physical spaces and environments. I found that for myself in both homes, the houses that I've lived in, I found it to be true for office spaces that I'm in, I found it to also be true for places that I've done energy clearings on that there's an impact of that numerology in the space that impacts what's happening energetically. So there are certain places that I don't even consider as a result of the numerology and what it is that I am particularly looking for in a space. So this is why I make numerology number one. So let's talk about address numerology. Because it is a little bit different than things that you may have experienced in the past. There's a lot of numbers that can come into play when we're thinking about an address for commercial space. So in some addresses, let's consider 5505. West Flamingo Road suite number four, I mean, what numbers do you use? Are you thinking about the 5505? Are you thinking about the four as priority? Are you adding them all together 5505 with the four what is important here, a lot of times in commercial space, you are going to be renting a space that has a sweet number to it, whether that is a direct number where it sweet 123 or four, whether that is a letter, so sweet, a sweet, be sweet. See, in these cases, the most significant number is the number of the suite itself that is the primary numerology of that space. So that is a number one to pay attention to is the suite number. So you might have something like Suite A or suite B. So if the suite has a letter, then you need to convert that letter to a number using an alphabetical numerology calculator, you can just look up what is the numerology of this letter. So A is one, B is two, C is three, D is four, E is five, f is six, and it continues but then it repeats. So don't expect that it just continues, you know to this is 20. Okay, that's not how it works. So you really do if you're getting into those later numbers than the ones that I mentioned here already, then you want to make sure that you are looking up the alphabetical numerology calculator for that particular letter. So let's say you are in suite D, then suite D is going to be the numerology of four. So four is going to have the most impact in that particular space, even though there are other numbers ahead of it, like in our example 5505. Now, I also like to consider what those numbers happen to be, even though it's not the strongest influence, I just think it's important to know all the communal energy that might be at play in a space. So when you're looking at a 5505, you're gonna add all of the numbers together to create as much as you can't single digit unless it's a master number, I'm not going to get into all of the details of numerology. So you can look up more about how to do that. But in this case, five plus five, plus zero plus five equals 15. And then we're going to take the one and the five and add that together from 15 and that gives us six. So the energy communally of that address is six, but the most predominant influence in the space because we're in sweet D is going to be four. So paying attention to that numerology makes a big difference. There are certain numbers that I really avoid based on What my life path number is, if you're not sure what your life path number is, I encourage you to look it up to learn more about it. So you can get my calculator for how to determine what your life path number is and what that means for you in your life, you can go for free to Sedona medium.com, forward slash life path number. And it'll give you a free printout with all of that information and what those numbers actually mean. But you want to pay attention to what you need in a space for your life path number, what's going to help you feel exalted and consider whether the suite energy that you're in is going to amplify qualities that are helpful that you already have, or whether it is going to potentially suppress and hold some of those qualities down. Those are things to think about, because each space will affect others differently. Now, one number that I choose not to engage with, or at least at this point in time, I don't, for a spiritual office space is number nine, even though nine is a very charitable number, it's a number of non attachment humanity compassionate, like high high spiritual principles. But because of that non attachment element, it has a tendency to bring people in and out without having necessarily as deep meaningful work together, if your business needs to be profitable, or needs to be able to bring in money to help you to continue to create beautiful experiences, to help others in their healing journey and their connection with the other side journey, then a nine is not going to be supportive of that. So numerology makes a big difference. That being said, again, I encourage you to check in with your life path number because your influence is also really significant, and how that's going to relate to the influence of your space. So go to Sedona medium.com, forward slash life path number, I'll put that link in the description as well. Okay, so number two, the other thing that I really think about is the Fung shui of the office. So in particular, some of the things that I'm looking for, you know, aren't about colors, and smells, not necessarily those types of things, because those can be shifted and can be changed when you take over a space. But in particular, I'm thinking about things like traffic flow, is there a road that directly comes towards the office space or towards the door, that's a very jarring, hard harsh energy to be around, it's not going to create that feeling of sanctuary so that's something that would eliminate a space for me generally, or you know, you'd have to create a really strong feng shui cure there, that Fung Shui is really taking into consideration the energy of the environment, the energy of the land, and how that flows through the space so it's really a very strong and important energetic mapping that's happening when you learn about Fung Shui. So I'm thinking about that traffic flow positions of roads I'm thinking about water features if there are water features on the property is the water flowing away from the area that can be not helpful is there a space where the water is in from a directional perspective can also have a lot of significance in Fung Shui so I'm looking at that. I'm looking at compass directions for the space. So where is the front door from a compass direction? Where are the windows as far as lighting is concerned and a compass direction? I think about all of that stuff, bathroom locations, what direction is the bathroom in when you're putting it into a Fung Shui grid? Because that has a lot of significance and how energy is flowing in the space? Yes, we need to have a Bathroom Bathroom is really helpful in the luxury of having a bathroom in suite is absolutely amazing. And I have found with Reiki sessions in particular, that it's really important because it's you know, people don't want to get get all the way back into the world and have to, you know, walk outside and go to a restroom, it's so much easier to be able to kind of stay in that relaxed space and just go to the restroom and not have to shift energies. But your bathroom location is really important in functional way because it's something that is draining energy away. So where it is located in your grid makes a difference. The energy of the surrounding environment in the land itself. So are there mountains, what's the geology of the space? What kind of energy is already present in how the land Two flows. So there's a very different energy at the top of a mountain, for example, than there is the bottom of a mountain. So the bottom of a mountain has more of a sanctuary space, it's going to hold that chi energy in this little bowl, this little container in the valley of a mountain, versus at the very top of the mountain, it's going to dissipate a lot of Chi energy, because it's it's flowing, there's not a whole lot of land container to hold something when it's at the top of the mountain. Now, that can be really helpful. In some cases, if you're, you know, dissipating energy a lot in your practice and in your work. But if you want to create a really strong energetic container, for others with a really high chi than at the top of a mountain, or the very top of a space may not be appropriate or the best energy for you. So Fung Shui is going to make a big difference. It's worth it to check with a Fung Shui practitioner, to find somebody who specializes in that to run it by them or to take time right now, even if you're in between office spaces, or you're just kind of flirting with the idea, take the time to really investigate and learn a little bit more about Fung Shui, because you're going to need that information for sure. When it comes to the critical importance of opening a professional office space. The third thing I pay attention to is what are the building materials, I pay attention to this for me because of my type of work. So as a psychic medium, there's a lot of energy that comes into the space, I'm also doing a lot of healings, sometimes I do spirit circles, where other people come in are invited more really drawing a lot of spirit energy in. And I also want to be able to both hold positive energy into space to be that support with a lot of key energy, but to be able to clear the room and clear the space as needed. A lot of that has to do with the building materials that the building is created out of. This is also significant for whoever has been in the space before you. So let's talk about stone stone really absorbs and holds on to energy for a long, long, long time. It doesn't like to clear energy likes to just kind of hold it when it comes to building materials. And what typically happens is a lot of stone houses and stone places have paranormal activity or have residual hauntings or have heavy stuff, because that type of material is more resistant, and it is highly absorptive in nature, so it absorbs and then holds energy for long periods of time. So as a result, you have to really put extra effort into being able to cleanse that type of energy, not just for yourself in the work that you're doing in the space. But also, however long it's been in the possession of other people and all of their layers of energy, because what happened 30 years ago may still be influencing and radiating out into your energy space. And boy that can be stubborn, that can be hard. Wood and other types of construction materials, more modern construction materials, those are very easy, generally, to cleanse to clear and release and let go of but stone is definitely something that I really think about I have to feel into the energy psychically for what actually is there? What has been there? How long has this place been in use? What do I know about the history of the space previously? That's going to inform whether that would be a yes, let's do it. Or this is probably something where I'm going to fight energy, and I'm just not willing to do that right now in my life. Alright, number four of things I consider energetically when I'm looking at a space as energy that's around the space. So what is the space already attracting? I want to think about what's already there, you know, so what businesses are around it? What type of atmosphere? Is it a pedestrian space where people feel comfortable? Walking, sharing, like connecting with nature? Are their plants there? Are their flowers? Has it been cultivated in a sensitive way to the environment? What type of people does it currently have a tendency to attract? Does it feel like it's an inspirational space for me, like can I walk out, you know, get my feet in some grass or have some sort of a natural connection? Are there birds around? Birds really show that there's an environment that's happening around you? That's bigger, that's it's connected with an ecosystem that's there. And I think that's a good An indicator of you know, is there a nice bird population that seems pretty happy in the space? That's going to let you know whether you have life in the area? Or not? Is it a part of the ecosystem? Or is it somehow separate from the ecosystem, so pay attention to what energy is already present is already happening, what is naturally being manifested without your influence, that's going to give you a lot of information about what energy is currently present in already at work. Number five, is light to how much light is in the room, can you also I'm going to add in here, can you open up a window that can be helpful for saging, or certain ceremonial practices, also, just to get fresh energy into a space, a quick way to do that, and to dissipate some energy is to open a window. But light does the same thing. So light dissipates, whereas darkness or being more in a confined area will hold energy, and will hold it in a strong way. And so depending on what it is you're trying to do, you might want more of an energy that is fresh, clear, sort of vacant in a way that dissipates energy. So a perfect example of that would be just a glass box, where, you know, these very modern homes and modern environments where it's just glass all the way around, that's a very vacant, blank type of energy. So you're really getting whatever is naturally there on the land, is what you are having to deal with energetically. So that can be a blessing or not, because everything else that you're putting in is just going to be dissipating, because you're just surrounded by all of that light. However, you know, there may be things that you appreciate, like you need a little bit more of a combination or balance between dissipating energy and also being able to hold your energetic intention, your clarity, your space for Spirit work a long time ago, they used to have what's called a mediums closet, and the mediums closet was a confined space for the medium to go into, especially someone who was working with physical phenomena type of energy, so manifesting spirit in a physical way, using your own physical energy, as a battery for spirit to be able to really do some amazing things in the physical world as a manifestation, these spaces did not have light in them, because you needed that darkness to be able to hold the energy that was there and not to dissipate all the ectoplasm and so forth. So in like a reader's room, for example, it's really nice to have more of a enclosed space, because it's going to hold your intention, it's going to hold that energy in the space. And for some people, you know, it might be easier for you to stay nice and focused and what's happening there, when you have a more enclosed space. So a balance for you about how energy flows through the space with the light. And also you know, the potential for opening the door or opening a window to bring fresh energy in. Number six, for me, in my practice is noise levels. That sure makes a big difference for me as an empath and a very sensitive person, I'm really impacted by sound in an environment, I need to be able to create and curate a soundscape that is really positive for me. And it's not stressful for me. So a lot of sound. A lot of people talking outside a lot of interruptions or big loud laughter. That actually causes me a lot of stress in my private sanctuary space. And that's not the case for everybody. Some people really thrive in that environment. But for me, it's just adds a layer of stress because I'm sensory sensitive in that way. So it's really helpful to be able to be sensitive to the noise levels. What's the traffic like, you know, where are people congregating and sitting is that noise going to be coming in while you're trying to do a massage or trying to do a meditation with your clients or shamanic removal, shamanic connection with someone that can be really challenging to do if someone's outside laughing and being loud and boisterous. So your noise levels make a big difference. And the last energetic consideration that I would impress upon you that is a big deal for me, is to always listen for the Yes. For the bat excitement within that says yes to this opportunity. I mean, yeah, you can feel nervous about taking this big step, especially if it's your first time. I mean, it's a huge commitment to say yes, I'm going to do this. I believe in myself and I'm investing in this and I'm really feel the call to create a special space for other people. That's not for everybody, but when You have that desire in your heart and you feel like that timing is truly here, you're not forcing things. It's just, you're getting that encouragement that says, I think and know and feel that it's time to move forward. Pay attention to how your body reacts and responds when you're going to different places. Do you feel a sense of dread before you go there? Do you feel? Sometimes I'll get that and I won't even bother to go somewhere. I just feel that strong. Nope. And I'll go, okay. I know that intuitively. For whatever reason, I don't have to know the reason anymore. I know I'm getting the nope, from the other side around the space. And so once I get that, that's all I need to know. And I move on, I don't force things anymore, I understand that they are wise. And they are sharing their information that I can't necessarily see and feel and know at the time with me. So I take that kind of stuff seriously for my guides. So listen, not only for those yeses, but also the places where you're not feeling the yes, because if you're not feeling as strong, yes. And like empowerment and excitement, it's okay to be nervous. But you should also feel that, yes, I'm ready to do this something inside feel so alive with this. And I don't know where it's coming from. But I feel bold, I feel strong, I feel energized. This is great. I'm ready. Pay attention to that. That's your green light. And following that green light is going to take you to the highest and best type of experience always, for me, if all these other things check out that I've told you about already in this episode, if I can check mark those, but this one is missing. Yeah, it makes sense logically, but something is missing. And when something is missing, I know I'm forcing it. That's what I've learned from my experience, that I'm pushing something out of divine timing and pushing something when I'm not truly ready for it. Maybe it makes sense to me. Maybe I think it's the right time, but something hasn't clicked into place. Maybe the right space isn't available, and I'm settling for something less. Maybe the right space isn't what I'm looking at in that moment, or perhaps something is coming around the corner. And I need a little bit more of a breathing room in order to continue to create and manifest and prepare what I really want to create that sacred space. So if this one is missing, I know I'm forcing. And I want you to pay attention to that, too. If you don't get that strong yes inside that's not from ego that comes from somewhere else. Even if you're nervous, even if you're you know afraid of that big step. If you don't get that yes, you're forcing it, you are not quite ready yet. Spirit is not quite ready yet. Or your space is not quite ready yet. And you don't need to know all the whys in order to step back, take time and reevaluate. And wait until all of these things are Check, check, check, check. And this last one that you get that big yes inside in your spirit. You know, you're following your excitement your body is responding. With all of those Yes, alarms and green lights going off. That's when you move forward. Alright, I hope that this has been helpful and just sharing different things to think about so that your practice can be more successful for whatever it is that you are trying to create special space for others to experience or for you to experience. You know, maybe you're just using that space for yourself to continue to elevate your brand what it is that you offer in the world what it is that you share others having a creative space to be able to do that is so important and one that really feeds your soul. It helps elevate your chakra system and gives you strong energy so that you're in an exalted state and not in an exhausted state. Thank you so much for sharing with me today.
